About these terms

These terms apply to this website and to calls to (619) 927-0312. By using the site or calling the line, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Coronado Express Plumbing operates a 24/7 dispatch line for plumbing problems in Coronado, CA and nearby towns. Our address is 836 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118.

What the service is

We take your call, record the problem and dispatch the work to licensed and insured plumbers. The plumber who attends is responsible for the plumbing work itself, including doing it to the standards that apply, such as the California Plumbing Code and the manufacturer's instructions for any equipment.

You can check any California plumber's licence at cslb.ca.gov, the Contractors State License Board website. Plumbing work falls under licence class C-36.

Prices and estimates

A clear price is given before work starts. That price is based on what you and the plumber can see and know at that moment, so if hidden damage turns up or the scope changes, the plumber will tell you and agree to the change with you before continuing.

Prices are not published on this website, and nothing on the site is an offer at a fixed price. Descriptions of what affects cost are general information, not a quote.

Availability and timing

The line is staffed 24/7, and same-day appointments are available when the schedule allows. We cannot promise an arrival time. Traffic, weather, the number of calls and the distance involved all affect when a plumber reaches you.

In a true emergency, such as a gas smell, a fire or an electrical hazard, call 911 first. For a gas smell, leave the building, then from a safe place call 911 or SDG&E, and call us after.

Permits and legal requirements

Some plumbing work needs a permit and some does not. In Coronado, the City Building Division requires a permit to install a water heater, including a tankless one, while stopping leaks and clearing stoppages is generally exempt. Permit rules vary, so ask the Coronado Building Division at (619) 522-7331.

If a job needs a permit, the plumber will say so before work begins. Water heaters in California must also be braced, anchored or strapped against earthquake movement under state law.

Your responsibilities

Please give accurate information about the problem and the address, make sure the plumber can reach the work area and tell us about hazards such as pets, standing water near electricity or mold. If you are a tenant, you may need your landlord's permission for some work.

In Coronado, the homeowner is responsible for the sewer lateral up to and including the connection to the City sewer main. That means repair of a private lateral is the property owner's job, even when the blockage affects the whole street.

Limits of what we promise

We describe plumbing problems and repair options in good faith, but the content on this website is general information and not a diagnosis of your home. Only a plumber who has seen the job can tell you what it needs.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Coronado Express Plumbing is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or the dispatch line. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under California law that cannot be limited, and we make no promise beyond what is stated here.

Website use and changes

The text, layout and images on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may view the pages for your own use, but please do not copy them or present them as your own.

We may change these terms from time to time by posting a new version here. Your use of the site or the line after that means you accept the updated terms. Questions can go to contact@expressplumbercoronado.com or (619) 927-0312.
